Privacy Policy

Last updated: March 2025

1. Overview

FairGo Invoice ("we", "our", or "us") is an invoicing platform built for Australian small businesses. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that information. By using FairGo Invoice at fairgoinvoice.com, you agree to the practices described here.

2. Information We Collect

Account information

When you register, we collect your name, email address, and (if using email/password login) a hashed password. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name and email address from Google — we never see your Google password.

Invoice and business data

We store the invoices, quotes, client details, products, and company profiles you create. This data belongs to you and is used solely to provide the service.

Payment information

We do not store credit card numbers. Subscription payments and invoice payment collection are handled by Stripe. We receive confirmation of payment status from Stripe but never your raw card details.

3. How We Use Your Information

  • To create and manage your account
  • To generate, store, and deliver invoices and quotes on your behalf
  • To process subscription billing and invoice payments via Stripe
  • To send transactional emails (invoice delivery, password reset) via your configured email service
  • To respond to support requests
  • To improve and maintain the platform

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your data for advertising.

4. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate the platform:

5. Cookies

We use a single, essential HTTP-only session cookie to keep you logged in. We do not use tracking cookies, analytics cookies, or advertising cookies.

6. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored on Cloudflare's infrastructure (D1 database and R2 object storage). Passwords are hashed using PBKDF2-SHA-512 with a unique salt — we cannot recover your password. We use HTTPS for all data in transit.

7. Data Retention and Deletion

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by emailing us. We will delete your data within 30 days of receiving your request, except where we are required to retain it by law.

8. Your Rights

Under Australian privacy law (Privacy Act 1988) and applicable regulations, you have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you
  • Correct inaccurate or out-of-date information
  • Request deletion of your personal information
  • Withdraw consent for optional data uses

To exercise any of these rights, please contact us at the email below.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify registered users by email of material changes. Continued use of the service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
